Yordanka Sotirova was born in Belgrade, Serbia in 1985. Graduated as BA in 2008, major Painting from the National Academy of Arts in Sofia with Prof. Valentin Kolev, where she continued her studies and graduated as MA in 2010. In 2006 she was selected to study for one semester at the Academy of Fine Arts in Saint Etienne, France as part of the exchange program for students Erasmus - Socrates. She has participated in many group exhibitions in Bulgaria and Serbia. Her first solo exhibition was in Switzerland.

Lives and works in Vienna, Austria.

“The idea in my works is to show how it is possible to find beauty and sublimity in small, simple, everyday situations presented through artistic means. The paintings are part of a larger project called "Beauty in Everyday Life.”
